Μετά τις έντονες αντιδράσεις που προκάλεσαν οι Χρυσές Σφαίρες 2021, η σεζόν για την 79η απονομή των βραβείων της Ένωσης Ξένων Ανταποκριτών του Hollywood ξεκίνησε επίσημα, με την ανακοίνωση των υποψηφίων για το 2022.
Οι υποψηφιότητες για τις Χρυσές Σφαίρες 2022 αποκαλύφθηκαν σήμερα (13 Δεκεμβρίου 2021) από το Beverly Hilton στο Beverly Hills της Καλιφόρνια. Η τελετή απονομής των κινηματογραφικών βραβείων θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 9 Ιανουαρίου 2022, ενώ για πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία των βραβείων, η εκδήλωση δε θα μεταδοθεί τηλεοπτικά.
